Lawrence earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (GGBTS), and Doctor of Intercultural Studies degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.  He had served as the Senior Pastor in Cumberland Presbyterian Chinese Church for over 20 years and was called to serve as the International Director at Gospel Operation International (GOI) in 2008.  Lawrence currently serves as Project Missionary (volunteer basis) at GOI after his retirement in January 2023.
