Academic Advising
CESNA values holistic theological education, because we believe ministry flows out of being. In addition to offering excellent theological instruction and ministry training, CESNA also provides support and assistance to students in their spiritual, psychological, and family life, so that their ministries would be fruitful and lives being fragrant offerings/testimonies unto the Lord. The following are resources currently available to all degree program students, under the direction of Chaplain and Director of Advising and Field Education:
Faculty/Area Adviser and Advisee small group
Each degree program student and student in Diploma of Christian Studies is assigned a faculty or area adviser at the beginning of the program, who will accompany him/her through the entire duration of his/her study at CESNA. The adviser will provide support in spiritual, academic, emotional, relational, and ministry dimensions as needed. In addition, students will have opportunity to know and interact with other students who are also advisees of the same adviser through the monthly advisee prayer group (after chapel). The assignment will be permanent unless due to special personnel change or upon request of student.
All degree program students need to consult and obtain approval from faculty members before they register for the new quarter. If student cannot reach his/her own adviser, student can contact Director of Advising and Field Education. Students are encouraged to take initiative to seek out the advisers in addition to monthly prayer time and registration consultation.
All LA students and out of state students, please contact your adviser for your program for appointment:
