I am a pastor of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and a third-generation Christian from Taiwan. My father came from Henan, China, and my mother from Kaoshiung, Taiwan. I first felt called by the Lord during my youth. After completing my M.Div. at China Lutheran Seminary in Hsinchu, Taiwan, I served as pastor at Abundant Grace Lutheran Church from 1995 to 1997. Following this, I pursued advanced theological studies at Concordia Seminary, earning both an STM and PhD.
During my doctoral studies, the Lord blessed me with a pastoral ministry at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Diamond Bar, California, where I served for three and a half years while also writing my dissertation. Upon completing my academic training, I was led by the Lord to serve at CESNA (China Evangelical Seminary North America) in 2008, initially as Dean of Academics from 2008 to 2013, and now as President since 2021.
I also had the privilege of temporarily returning to China Lutheran Seminary, serving as President and a faculty member from 2014 to 2021. Each step of my journey has been guided by the Lord’s calling, shaping my ministry and academic pursuits.
